Kathleen Carey is the Community Impact Leader at
Gensler, a global architecture and design firm with offices in 50 cities around the world. Kathleen has responsibility for all of Gensler’s community engagement efforts, including the firm’s volunteer and pro bono work and its philanthropic efforts. She has been instrumental in developing and implementing the firm’s Community Impact strategy which focuses on
four key areas: the Environment, Health and Wellness, the Next Generation and Housing and Homelessness. Carey joined Gensler in April of 2018.
Prior to joining Gensler, she spent five years with the Urban Land Institute, first as the Institute’s Chief Content Officer and most recently as President and CEO of the Urban Land Institute Foundation.
Prior to ULI, Carey spent 17 years at GE Capital Real Estate where she was a Senior Vice President with global responsibilities including portfolio management and leadership of an investment advisory business.
Kathleen is an attorney by training and is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut and California.
